Don Giovanni

“Let’s Make Opera Great again!” was the slogan for this production of Don Giovanni, or Don “Trumpianni”, as Opera Rogaland staged this classical Mozart opera in Stavanger Concert Hall. What an absolute thrill to work with so many talented people, and in such a beautiful building! The director’s bold choice to insert Don Giovanni in today’s political arena in the USA, few weeks before the presidential election 2024, gave the opera several extra layers, if you ask me. Incredibly grateful for this opportunity to make art that matters beyond the immidiate.
